2009 and the Wii
We are taking a look at some of the exclusives that each console is bringing to the table this year. The Wii has become the casual gamer’s system. It has a few games that will appeal to the hardcore gamer, but not many. 2009 is looking good for the hardcore gamer and there is another Wii Sports coming for all of the casual gamers. As with the other 2009 articles I have written, these are games I am personally looking forward to.
The Conduit
Finally a developer not named Nintendo is making a game for the hardcore audience. The Conduit is a first person shooter developed by High Voltage Software. Hopefully, The Conduit is a good game and becomes a hit so we can see more developers making hardcore games on the Wii.
Mad World
Another game that will appeal to the hardcore set is Mad World. Mad World is a stylized brawler being developed by Platinum Games and published by Sega
Punch-Out!!
Nintendo is resurrecting another old franchise this year. Everyone’s favorite boxing game Punch-Out! is coming to the Wii. Little Mac and company will be getting a graphical overhaul, but besides that it looks like Nintendo is staying true to the old version, which is a good thing.
