2009 and the PS3
We are taking a look at some of the exclusives that each console is bringing to the table this year. The PS3, many will argue has been suffering from a lack of truly good games. While 2008 helped put some of that criticism to rest, 2009 is looking like it will put all of that criticism to rest permanently.
Killzone 2
Guerrilla Games sequel to Killzone, Killzone 2 is looking to take gamers by storm when it releases on Feb. 27. Graphically, nothing on consoles right now can even touch what Guerrilla Games did with Killzone 2. With an intriguing single player story and a number of multiplayer options, Killzone 2 will probably live up to the unbelievable amount of hype surrounding it.
The Agency
This is one of the many MMOs that will try to make their mark on consoles this year. Developed by SOE Seattle, The Agency will pit spy vs. mercenary in unique missions ranging from assassinations to all-out assaults. Players will be able to create their own agencies and fight with or alongside other agencies. The Agency should be released sometime later this year.
God of War 3
The final chapter in the God of War trilogy is shaping up to be the best. Gamers will be treated to an all new game engine built from the ground up to bring incredible visuals and battles on an even more grand scale than previous installments. Gamers should be able to get their hands on God of War 3 late this year.
Infamous
Infamous is a third person action game where you play in an open sandbox similar to GTA or Crackdown. You will play as Cole, an average citizen in Empire City who gets caught at the epicenter of a massive explosion. You are the lone survivor and the explosion has given you the ability to manipulate electricity. Gamers will be able to explore Empire City and make decisions that will affect the story. Will you use your new powers for evil or protect the innocent? We will see when Infamous hits store shelves this spring.
Heavy Rain
Heavy Rain is a cinematic thriller created by Quantic Dream. The player will shape the story based off of every decision they make. There will also be a lot of QTE(quick time events) in the gameplay. Quantic Dream have done a good job with the graphics to compliment the cinematic feel to the game. No release date has been given, but gamers should expect Heavy Rain sometime in 2009.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Naughty Dog is bringing us their sequel to Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune this year. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will focus on Drake following the footsteps of Marco Polo. We can expect the same great voicework from the first one and refined graphics and gameplay. Look for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves this holiday season.

You could have also put up MAG! Although not much is known about it… There’s only one in-game screenshot and one trailer!

Yeah, I missed a ton of other exclusives too probably. This article was more about what I’m personally looking forward to. Hopefully at E3 we will see a lot more of MAG. What other exclusives are you looking forward to?

I’m looking forward to Quantum Theory and Demon Soul sadly those are probably going to be exclusive to Japan for a while. :[
I’m hoping GT5 finally comes out too….

DC Universe, Yakuza3 and White Knight Chronicles look fun and could have been on the list above too.
