EVE Online: Apocypha releases, Details of New Features Added.

EVE Online: Apocypha is adding a list of new features and was released this week.

One of the best features is the New Player Experience. If you have ever played EVE Online you know that it has one of the steepest learning curves in a MMO. CCP has simplified the tutorial by removing decisions that didn’t affect you at the start. This new tutorial aims to do a better job of easing a new player into the EVE universe, instead of thrusting them into it and not knowing what to do.

The main feature in Apocypha are Wormholes. The Wormholes serve as gateways to thousands of unexplored solar systems. The enemies you encounter in these new solar systems hold the key to constructing the new Tech 3 ships that are being introduced in Apocypha.

CCP also added a Skill Queue. Skill training occurs in real-time, so even though you’re not playing your skills will keep training. The Skill Queue allows you to set up a list of skills to train instead of picking just one skill. All skills in the Skill Queue have to begin training within 24 hours. CCP did this so gamers can’t set up every skill in EVE and avoid playing the game.

EVE Online: Apocypha releases on March 10 on Steam for $14.99 and at retail stores as a Special Edition, including the game client and the previous 9 expansions, for $39.99.
