Need for Speed Shift’s Debut Game Trailer

Monday marked the release of the first in-game footage of Electronic Arts’ Need for Speed Drift. Visually the game is stunning. According to one of the game’s producers, Jesse Abney, gameplay mechanics will rely heavily on what they are calling the ‘Driver Experience.’ This includes noticeable g-forces and motion blurring of collisions. Also making a return to the Need for Speed franchise is the in-car view. From the trailer (embedded below) you can see that the developers have paid attention to the smallest of details - including the dashboard and the mechanics of the driver changing gears and moving his head around for a better view. As of right now the game is slated for release on September 22 (North America), and judging by the in-game footage, that looks like a safe bet.
